Media and Muslims Among the Most Important Issues of the Era: Speakers

Prayagraj: A seminar on the topic “Media and Muslims” was organized at the Sky Institute of Media, Literature and Journalism under the banner of the Marwa Educational Foundation. During the event, the Digital Content Excellence Award 2025 was presented to renowned journalist Tariq Khan in recognition of his outstanding contributions to journalism and digital media.

The seminar was presided over by Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, while Prof. Shariq Nisar, Dr. Imran Azad, Hafiz Usman, and other distinguished scholars and media professionals addressed the gathering.

The speakers emphasized that media has become one of the most influential forces in shaping public opinion and awareness in the modern world. They stressed that Muslims should actively participate in journalism, digital media, and content creation to present factual, balanced, and positive narratives about their community and society.

They noted that the rapid growth of digital platforms has created immense opportunities for young people to contribute constructively. By using media responsibly, they can help promote truth, social harmony, education, and national development.

The participants also highlighted the need to train the younger generation in modern media skills so they can effectively counter misinformation and communicate authentic perspectives through ethical journalism and digital content.

On the occasion, Tariq Khan expressed his gratitude for receiving the Digital Content Excellence Award 2025 and dedicated the honor to all media professionals working sincerely for truthful and responsible journalism.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and a call for continued collaboration between educational institutions, journalists, and social organizations to strengthen responsible media practices and empower youth through digital literacy.
